In this 1989 video, you'll see one of the earliest TV news stories about rosacea. Dr. Art Ulene on NBC's "TODAY" Show explains what rosacea is and how it could be treated.
It is interesting to note that at the time, the disorder was thought to be relatively rare. The FDA considered rosacea an "orphan disease," meaning that it was believed to affect fewer than 200,000 Americans. Studies would soon find that its prevalence was much greater.
