National Rosacea Society Seal of Acceptance

NRS Seal of AcceptanceSensitive and easily irritated skin is a common issue for people with rosacea, a chronic disorder affecting more than 16 million Americans and 415 million people worldwide. In NRS surveys, 92% of rosacea sufferers reported burning, stinging or itching skin, and 66% named certain skin care or cosmetic products as triggers for rosacea signs and symptoms.

The NRS has introduced a new Seal of Acceptance program to identify gentle skin care and cosmetic products that have been clinically tested, expertly evaluated and found to be unlikely to irritate sensitive rosacea skin — providing valuable guidance to those searching for skin care and cosmetics that may be suitable for people with rosacea.

Criteria for Acceptance
Products must be free of ingredients that may cause:

  • damaged skin barrier function
  • vasomotor instability (flushing)
  • unwanted neurosensory stimulation (burning, itching)
